Investigators report that the toddler suffered fractures to both arms, both collarbones, and a leg as a result of repeated injuries sustained from what has been described as “pulling on him” while inside their home on Sailors Avenue. The alarming claims emerged after the Hall County Department of Family and Children Services flagged the case on April 22, leading to an official investigation.

According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, the boy endured at least three separate incidents during which he was allegedly harmed by his mother. Medical assessments revealed that he suffered one fracture to his right arm, two fractures to his left arm, and fractures to both clavicles and his left leg. At this time, the child remains in hospital, receiving treatment at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. While his injuries are deemed serious, they are not life-threatening.
Following the discovery of the injuries, the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services took custody of the child, ensuring he receives the appropriate care and protection. This development highlights the ongoing concerns around child welfare and the vital role of agencies in safeguarding vulnerable children.
Pittman was taken into custody on May 1 and now faces six counts of first-degree cruelty to children and six counts of aggravated battery, all of which fall under Georgia’s Family Violence Act. She is currently being held without bond at the Hall County Jail. Reports indicate that officials are taking the accusations seriously, given the nature and frequency of the alleged abuse.
The situation has sparked outrage among local communities, with many expressing disbelief over the extent of the injuries the young boy has suffered. Advocates for children’s rights have called for stringent measures to enhance monitoring and protection for at-risk children, emphasising that no child should ever endure such trauma within their home.
In addition to the legal ramifications of her actions, social media users have noted a tattoo on Pittman, which reads, “with pain comes strength.” This has drawn considerable attention, with many questioning the message it conveys in light of the allegations against her.
As the legal proceedings unfold, there remains a vital need for the community and law enforcement to remain vigilant in the protection of children. Ensuring that parents and guardians foster safe and nurturing environments is essential for the healthy development of young children.
As this case highlights the tragic reality of child abuse, it serves as a reminder of the importance of early intervention and support systems to prevent such occurrences. The investigation remains active and ongoing, with authorities committed to uncovering the full circumstances surrounding this distressing situation.
