Somerda Miclescu is accused of fleeing a semi-supervised visit with a family member and taking her children, Daniel, aged six, Irina, aged three, and four-month-old Anastasia, from their location in Toronto.

According to a statement from the Toronto Police Service (TPS), the incident was reported at approximately 11:32 a.m. in the area of Midland Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East. It is alleged that Miclescu left with her children during the visit, prompting a police response concerning an abduction.
The Toronto Police have described Miclescu as being approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing around 180 pounds, with long black hair. On the day of her disappearance, she was reportedly wearing a dark-coloured top paired with a long black skirt. Investigations have confirmed that she was driving a 2017 white Ford Expedition that bears the Ontario licence plate DJJS 875.
