Kiersten Dyke, a popular TikTok creator, has tragically passed away at the age of 25 after a prolonged battle with melanoma, which she openly documented on social media. Dyke’s cancer journey began in December 2022, when she was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma after a biopsy revealed a concerning mole. She underwent surgery in early January 2023 to remove the affected area, but complications arose shortly thereafter. Dyke, reflecting on her treatment, expressed regret that her doctor had opted against a lymph node dissection, which she later characterised as a significant oversight. Despite her initial optimism, her condition progressed, shifting to stage 2B, prompting further surgery to remove lymph nodes.

The young creator faced a challenging year as she battled her illness, which included multiple hospital visits and surgeries. By January 2024, Dyke could celebrate one year without any detectable disease; however, by the end of that year, she faced the devastating news that her cancer had returned as stage 3 metastatic melanoma. She commenced immunotherapy in early 2025, hoping for a positive outcome.
As 2025 progressed, Dyke’s situation deteriorated. In June, it was confirmed that her melanoma had advanced to stage 4, having metastasised to her bones and organs. Dyke’s oncologist informed her that she might only have “months” to live, a diagnosis that left her visibly shocked. On April 10, she posted an emotional response to her prognosis, hoping for more time beyond what doctors anticipated.
On April 20, Dyke’s health took a turn for the worse, prompting a visit to the emergency room where her condition continued to decline over the following days. Cinfio shared that Dyke felt increasingly unwell, becoming less responsive, although there were brief moments of clarity where she could engage with loved ones. Unfortunately, her circumstances warranted further medical interventions, and on April 23, scans revealed a significant accumulation of fluid in her abdomen, leading to the removal of six litres during a procedure.
The days leading up to her death saw a mix of hope and despair. Though her health appeared to fluctuate, with moments of responsiveness, medical updates were increasingly discouraging. By the time of her death on April 26, her medical team informed her family that she was critically ill due to sepsis, a serious bodily response that culminated in her body beginning to shut down.
Cinfio expressed gratitude for the time they had together in her final days, reflecting on the love and support surrounding Dyke. He noted the importance of the time spent with her, feeling fortunate that she was able to see and interact with family and friends. The couple had begun their journey together nearly nine years prior, and the loss of Dyke has left a void that resonates deeply with those who knew her.
The poignant story of Kiersten Dyke serves as a stark reminder of the realities of cancer and the importance of support networks during such trying times. Her candid sharing of her journey not only spread awareness about melanoma but also fostered a sense of community among her followers. Tributes have poured in from many who were inspired by her courage and resilience in the face of her illness.
As we reflect on Dyke’s life and the impact she made through her storytelling, her legacy continues to live on through the messages she shared. Friends, family, and fans alike are left grappling with the loss of a vibrant young woman whose journey offered hope and connection in the fight against cancer.
