Miranda Kerr, the renowned model and entrepreneur, recently showcased her grace under pressure during the Living Beauty Cancer Foundation’s spring luncheon in Beverly Hills. The event, held on 28 April 2026, presented Kerr with an award in recognition of her commitment to wellness and social impact. However, it was a wardrobe malfunction that provided an unexpected moment of levity.

As Kerr made her way to accept her accolade, the zipper of her striking butter yellow halter dress unexpectedly gave way. In the face of this mishap, the former Victoria’s Secret Angel delivered her speech with poise, deliberately maintaining her front-facing position to conceal the broken zipper.
Reflecting on the incident afterward, Kerr shared with PEOPLE, “I was like, ‘My zipper broke. That’s why I’m walking like this, not showing my back.’ But it’s still broken, and hopefully, I’ll be able to get out of it because it couldn’t go up and down to fix it. But that’s okay.” Her light-hearted attitude was evident as she remarked, “We’re all human,” acknowledging that such occurrences are part of life.

During her acceptance speech, Kerr addressed the wardrobe malfunction directly, stating, “My zip just broke in the back, but that’s okay, it happens. You’re looking at me from the front, and worse things have happened.” In a humorous moment, she recalled a past incident when she lost a shoe at a public event, which added another layer to the evening’s proceedings.
The Living Beauty Cancer Foundation is dedicated to empowering women affected by cancer, providing holistic wellness and healing programmes free of charge. The event not only honoured Kerr’s contributions but also raised vital funds to support these programmes, furthering the foundation’s mission.
Outside of her modelling career, Kerr is a passionate advocate for health and wellness, often sharing her insights into her daily practices. She disclosed that meditation has become a crucial part of her lifestyle. “Meditation for me has been such an incredible tool,” she explained. “I learned how to meditate at 17, and I’ve been more consistent with it in the last year than ever.”
With her busy schedule as a mother of four boys, including her 15-year-old son Flynn, Kerr has adapted her meditation routine. “I don’t have the luxury of having 20 minutes twice a day but I do have the luxury right now of fitting it in the morning before the kids wake up,” she said, highlighting her commitment to maintaining her mental well-being.
Kerr’s dedication to mindfulness doesn’t stop with her own practice; she has introduced her children to meditation as well. Flynn, her son from her previous marriage to Orlando Bloom, has developed a consistent habit of meditating. She mentioned, “I’ve taught the kids, and they have their own mantra that they were given by my Vedic meditation teacher.” This familial approach to meditation reflects Kerr’s belief in its grounding benefits.
Kerr shares Flynn with Bloom; they were married from 2010 to 2013. In 2017, she married Evan Spiegel, co-founder of Snapchat, with whom she has three additional children — Hart, born in May 2018; Myles, born in October 2019; and Pierre, who arrived in February 2024. Her family remains a central focus in her life, influencing her views on health, wellness, and personal growth.
Through her experiences, both personal and professional, Kerr exemplifies a grounded approach to life, managing the challenges of motherhood and public scrutiny with remarkable poise. Her recent wardrobe mishap merely adds to her narrative of resilience and authenticity, resonating with her supporters who admire her multi-faceted lifestyle.
