In an innovative blend of literature and fitness, Reese’s Book Club is set to collaborate with Apple Books to present a series of Story Walk events in multiple cities across the United States. These unique gatherings are designed to unite book lovers by inviting them to immerse themselves in audiobooks while engaging in guided walks.
The inaugural Story Walk event will take place in Nashville on 9 May 2025. From there, the initiative will expand to cities including Chicago, where it will occur on 27 June, and San Diego on 1 August. Additional details regarding other locations and dates will be shared in the coming months.

Participants in these events will be guided by trainers from Apple Fitness+, including Anja Garcia, Molly Fox, and Sherica Holmon. Each session will consist of a 50-minute walk supplemented by the audiobook of that month’s selected title from Reese’s Book Club. After the walk, attendees will have the opportunity to partake in a Q&A with the featured author, enhancing their experience through direct engagement.
Maureen Polo, CEO of Hello Sunshine, expressed the core philosophy behind these events. “At Reese’s Book Club, storytelling has always been about connection, and now we’re taking that connection on the move,” she said. Polo added that as lifestyles increasingly incorporate audio formats, these Story Walks present a chance to blend the ritual of walking with the enjoyment of immersive storytelling. The initiative encourages movement while fostering mindfulness and community ties.
The concept of Story Walk events was previously trialled in Venice on 30 March 2025. This initial gathering featured the audiobook of “The Three Lives of Cate Kay,” a selection from January 2025’s book club, and included an engaging discussion with author Kate Fagan and romance novelist Jasmine Guillory, showcasing the event’s dual emphasis on literature and dialogue.
Notably, these events are not just about listening and walking; they are also intended to create a sense of community among participants. This communal spirit is an essential aspect of the experience, further enriched by the shared exploration of stories that resonate with the audience.
This partnership marks a significant milestone for both Reese’s Book Club and Apple Books. It combines the love of reading with physical activity in a format that promises to refresh the way we consume literature. As Polo noted, “It’s a dynamic new way for our community to experience stories together.”
For those interested in participating, staying updated on future dates and locations is encouraged. The Story Walk events represent a unique opportunity to enjoy the craft of storytelling while promoting health and well-being through physical activity.
As we await the first walk in Nashville, the anticipation among book enthusiasts and fitness fans alike is palpable, marking a forward-thinking step in how literature can be appreciated in today’s fast-paced world.
