Meghan Trainor has announced the cancellation of her upcoming summer tour, just three months after the birth of her daughter, Mikey Moon. The Grammy-winning singer, known for hits like “All About That Bass,” expressed her deep regret in a recent Instagram post, acknowledging that her decision may disappoint many of her fans.

The Get In Girl Tour was originally scheduled to commence on June 12 in Clarkston, Michigan, covering over 30 venues across North America before concluding in Los Angeles on August 15. However, Trainor shared that, after much introspection and difficult discussions, she felt compelled to prioritise her family at this time.
In her heartfelt message, Trainor reflected on the challenges of juggling a new album release, the demands of a nationwide tour, and the responsibilities of welcoming a newborn into her growing family. “Balancing the release of a new album, preparing for a nationwide tour, and welcoming our new baby girl has just been more than I can take on right now,” she wrote, underlining the need to be present for her loved ones during this significant life transition.
Trainor and her husband, Daryl Sabara, welcomed their daughter via surrogate on January 18. They are also parents to two sons, Riley, aged five, and Barry, aged two. Her seventh studio album, titled Toy with Me, is due for release on April 24, and Trainor has promised her devoted fans that she will return to performing soon.
“I know this will come as a disappointment to my fans, and I am so sorry to let you down,” Trainor continued in her statement. “But I know this is the right decision for my family and me right now.” She concluded with a reassuring note, saying, “I promise I’ll be back soon, and I can’t wait for you to hear this new record. I’m so proud of it and I’m endlessly grateful for your love and support always.”
Prior to announcing the cancellation, Trainor had shared her enthusiasm for the tour preparations, stating in November that she planned to undertake dance lessons in order to be in peak condition for her performances.
