Dylan Efron, the prominent reality television star, is gearing up to showcase his dancing skills once more as he prepares for the upcoming *Dancing with the Stars Live* tour. This tour will feature several stars from season 34, as well as various special guest performers. Efron, who previously appeared on the reality competition series, spoke to PEOPLE about his experiences and balancing life on tour.

Though Efron is enthusiastic about re-entering the spotlight to dance, he candidly acknowledged that he may not have dedicated ample time for extensive rehearsals. “I wish I could say I have,” he remarked when asked about his preparation for the tour. Currently in New York, he mentioned that he managed only one solid practice session with his dance partner, Daniella Karagach, prior to the tour. Reflecting on their final rehearsal, he shared, “Our dance was still baked in my head, so we almost did it on the first try, so I think we’ll be fine by show day.”

The influencer recently shared a rehearsal clip with Karagach, where viewers were treated to a preview of one of their more memorable dance moves. The segment featured Efron suspending Karagach in midair—a move they dubbed the “air walk.” However, the routine took an unexpected turn when she unexpectedly slipped from his grasp, resulting in a somewhat comical landing.
Despite his apprehensions about any potential slip-ups during the live performance, Efron is maintaining a light-hearted attitude. The 34-year-old noted that his role in the tour is relatively minor, saying, “It’s okay if I mess up,” and further emphasising that his priority is to enjoy himself on stage. “I’m just gonna do my best and laugh if I mess up,” he added.
Efron shared that the most significant advice he received from more seasoned performers was to enjoy the experience and connect with the audience. He explained the key difference between performing on stage and in the *Dancing with the Stars* studio, stating, “In an auditorium, you’re supposed to look up, not down at people.” This advice seems to resonate with him, as he aims to engage with the crowd and maintain a positive energy throughout the performances.
The *Dancing with the Stars Live* tour will traverse numerous cities across the United States, featuring an array of the show’s former contestants. Special co-hosts for the tour include familiar faces such as Elaine Hendrix, Danielle Fishel, and Andy Richter, while notable guest stars like Alix Earle, Jordan Chiles, and Robert Irwin will add to the excitement.
When he is not performing, Efron has been making the most of his time in nature, frequently visiting different national parks. He has recently partnered with T-Mobile to promote their collaboration with the National Park Foundation. This initiative, known as “Do Not Disturb Season,” encourages individuals to disconnect from their digital devices and reconnect with the great outdoors. As part of this campaign, T-Mobile launched the Magenta Base Camp at Grand Central Terminal, providing a unique National Parks experience for the public.
After concluding his five-city leg of the *Dancing with the Stars* tour, Efron has plans to unwind in the great outdoors. He expressed a desire to spend quality time with his dog, friends, and his van, contemplating adventure destinations such as Joshua Tree or the Channel Islands for swimming activities. “Go out there for a little adventure. Something close to home that is probably long overdue,” he said of his intentions after the tour.
Efron is committed to achieving a balance between his digital persona and his outdoor pursuits. He articulated that this equilibrium is an ongoing process, noting, “The balance is always shifting.” He elaborated on this by sharing that whenever he spends more than a week at home, his natural inclination is to go outside, engaging in activities such as rock climbing and camping trips in his van.
Reflecting on his upbringing in California, Efron expressed gratitude for the accessibility of national parks in his life. “The national parks are really something I’m so thankful to have been raised around,” he remarked, recognising that not everyone has the same privilege of enjoying such natural beauty readily.
With anticipation building ahead of the *Dancing with the Stars Live* tour, Efron’s charm and light-hearted approach could likely contribute to an entertaining experience for fans and audiences alike. As he prepares to take the stage once more, the mix of excitement and genuine passion for outdoor adventures continues to shape his unique journey.
