Whitney Leavitt, widely recognised as an influencer, reality television personality, and Broadway actress, has recently taken on a new executive role, further expanding her impressive portfolio. On April 8, Cool Sips, a New York-based dirty soda brand, announced Leavitt’s appointment as Chief Creative and Brand Officer.

In her new position, Leavitt will oversee creative direction and menu innovation for the brand. Among her first initiatives, she is set to launch her own signature drink, aptly named “The Whitney.” This beverage is crafted from a blend of club soda, sugar-free pineapple, sugar-free peach, sugar-free vanilla, lime syrup, and raspberry puree, marking a personal touch to her bespoke dirty soda order.
Leavitt’s ascent to this leadership role follows her recent success on Broadway, where she played Roxie Hart in the acclaimed production of *Chicago*. During her performance, she broke a box office record, achieving the highest weekly gross in the show’s storied 29-year history, which topped £1.45 million during the week ending March 15. The overwhelming demand for her performances led to an extension of her limited run beginning on February 2.
In a statement to *Inc.*, Leavitt expressed her excitement about transitioning from individual product marketing to overseeing the broader brand. She noted, “I’m not just marketing one product; I’m marketing a company, which I think is really exciting.” She further explained her approach to advertising, highlighting the importance of creating a narrative that resonates with consumers.
Leavitt reflected on the organic growth of dirty soda culture, stating, “The reason that people were drawn to [dirty soda] so much is it wasn’t something that was ever being pushed. It was something that was just so organic, and it really is – and was, as you watch in [Secret Lives] – a part of our day-to-day.”
Emphasising the sense of community that dirty soda fosters, Leavitt added, “I love feeling a sense of community and camaraderie. I want to feel like I’m a part of something, and I feel like that’s what made the virality of dirty soda go crazy.”
Andrew Moger, founder of Cool Sips, praised Leavitt’s contributions, recognising her role in popularising dirty sodas and driving consumer demand. He noted, “Whitney has helped bring Dirty Sodas into the cultural mainstream, fueling a social-first movement.” Moger believes that her “creative instincts, entrepreneurial mindset, and authentic passion for Dirty Sodas” uniquely position her to elevate Cool Sips into a well-recognised brand.
Cool Sips is part of a growing trend featuring dirty sodas, a drink that originates from Utah and typically combines soda with creamer and flavoured syrups. Moger reiterated the company’s ambition to establish itself as “New York City’s premier Dirty Soda destination” and indicated that Leavitt’s leadership will be vital as they transition this viral success into a scalable business.
In addition to her new role at Cool Sips and her Broadway achievements, Leavitt recently reunited with her *Dancing with the Stars* partner, Mark Ballas, who has taken on the role of Billy Flynn in *Chicago*. Their reunion comes as Ballas begins a four-week limited engagement run, further igniting excitement among fans.
As Whitney Leavitt embarks on this exciting new chapter in her career, her multi-faceted experiences in entertainment, combined with her innovative vision for Cool Sips, suggest a promising future for the brand. With her unique blend of talent and creativity, she is set to make a significant impact on the dirty soda landscape, enticing customers with both her signature drink and fresh marketing strategies.
