A 26-year-old man from California has pleaded guilty to the second-degree murder of his 15-year-old half-brother, Zayde, in a tragic incident involving a pickaxe. Zuberi Sharp entered his guilty plea on March 30, 2026, over the December 5, 2024, attack that occurred in Newbury Park.

According to the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office, the horrifying events unfolded at around 8 pm in a converted shed in the backyard of the family home.
