Dan Wherrett, known in the music world as DJ Dan, has sadly passed away at the age of 57. The announcement of his death was made on his social media platforms on Sunday, March 29. While the specific cause of his death remains undisclosed, the news has drawn an outpouring of tributes from fans and peers alike.

DJ Dan, a significant figure in the evolution of electronic music, was celebrated as a pioneer of the West Coast House sound. He co-founded the influential collective Funky Tekno Tribe, which played a crucial role in transforming the West Coast dance scene during the 1990s.
