The singer explained that for him and Nicole, it came as a surprise when their daughter subtly announced her name choice during a school open house.
According to Madden, they were attending an event when Kate’s teacher praised her, referring to her as “Kate.” This prompted the parents to question who the teacher was referencing, leading to the discovery that their daughter had been introducing herself with her middle name at school.
