Nicole Brydon Bloom and Justin Theroux are soon to become parents, as Bloom shared the exciting news of her pregnancy. The couple, who wed in March 2025, are thrilled to be starting a family, albeit not entirely planning the pregnancy.

During a recent interview on the 3rd Hour of Today, Bloom recounted the charming way she revealed the news to Theroux. “I had to wait for him to wake up the next morning, and it was like noon, and I was like, ‘Please get up,’” she humourously recalled. Following his late sleep due to a night shoot, Bloom decided it would be best to let her husband have his morning coffee before dropping the big news. Sharing breakfast together, she finally told him that they were expecting.
Theroux’s reaction was classic, as Bloom described it, “He was like, ‘How?!’” she laughed, adding, “I can walk you through it. It was a team effort.” The couple expressed their joy about the pregnancy, with Bloom stating, “We weren’t entirely planning it, but we were excited to start a family.”
Bloom went on to discuss how she has been feeling throughout the pregnancy. “We’re feeling good, you know. We’ve got the nursery on its way,” she said, expressing gratitude for the experience. Bloom had mentioned earlier that her first trimester included bouts of sickness, but she is now enjoying her second trimester and feeling much more settled. “I feel very lucky and grateful for that,” she remarked at the 2026 Critics’ Choice Awards.
The couple’s journey together began when romance rumours started circulating in early 2023, following sightings at a Netflix event. Just a few months later, the pair were photographed sharing a kiss during a romantic outing. Though they have made occasional public appearances together, such as at events like the premiere of ‘Fallout’ season 2 and the U.S. Open Tennis Championships, they have kept most aspects of their relationship private.
Theroux has previously articulated the desire to maintain intimacy and privacy in his relationships, stating in a 2023 interview with Esquire, “I want all of my relationships to exist within the four walls of whatever room we’re in. Having been in a public relationship, it’s much more fun not being in a public relationship.”
The couple’s love was solidified further with their engagement in August 2024, followed by their wedding in March 2025. Theroux proposed during a trip to Italy, presenting Bloom with a stunning ring that includes a 4-carat emerald-cut diamond, along with bands that feature both their birthstones.
Recently, the couple celebrated their impending arrival with a joint baby shower, hosted at Jac’s on Bond in New York City. The gathering was described as an intimate celebration rather than a traditional affair. “Nicole looked stunning. They both seemed very happy,” an insider revealed. Attendees enjoyed cocktails and small bites while celebrating the forthcoming addition to their family.
