Scott Wolf, known for his role in the popular television series “Party of Five”, has recently shared insights into his ongoing journey of healing with his former wife, Kelley Wolf, and their three children. The actor took time out from his hectic schedule to reunite with Kelley and their children at Universal Studios in Los Angeles on February 20. This outing comes amid their public divorce, a situation Scott has addressed candidly.

In a statement released to PEOPLE, Scott expressed the importance of promoting a positive narrative surrounding their family dynamics. “While I would never have wanted anything to have been made public, I guess it just felt like our family deserved to have things not just sit in some kind of awful dark place in terms of perception,” he said. He emphasised the emotional bonds they share as a family, stating: “I love all of those four people and all of those four people love each other. And so that’s really what matters most.”
Scott, who has been under the public eye since his breakthrough in the 1990s, is currently receiving acclaim for his performance as Dr. Richard Miller in Fox’s medical drama “Doc”. The show has been renewed for a third season, and Scott expressed his excitement about continuing the journey with the talented cast and crew. He remarked, “It’s such an incredible group of people, so I’m super excited for everyone that the show gets to continue. Whether Richard is around for one or a hundred more episodes, it’s been a huge gift.”

As he reflects on success in his current stage of life, Scott has shared that his priorities have shifted. For him, success is no longer defined by industry accolades but rather by his ability to nurture his family. “When I was first starting out, I had two real goals,” he explained. “One was achieving a balance between my family and professional life, ensuring I could make choices based on what I wanted to do as opposed to financial pressures.”
In addition to familial obligations, Scott highlighted another personal goal: continuous improvement in his craft. “It’s about being part of a great team and telling a story that matters,” he noted. “Success is now defined by whether I can stretch myself and grow with each project.”
Despite his continuing popularity and accolades as a 1990s heartthrob, Scott’s children remain largely unaffected by his celebrity status. He amusingly recounted a recent interaction with his daughter Lucy, who commented on an Instagram throwback video, saying, “I bet you think you’re so cool.”
Scott reflected on the changing perceptions of his children towards his profession, stating, “Sometimes they want me to land a Marvel movie, and then they seem annoyed when I have another project.” Yet, there is a silver lining as well: he plans to take his children to the “Doc” set to witness his work firsthand, a cherished experience he wishes to share with them.
“I’m bringing my oldest back with me this next trip as we wind down season 2,” Scott mentioned. He described the excitement of having his children visit the set, where they have participated in small rituals such as operating the film slate. “I love having the chance to have them come around, especially in an environment where everyone is so kind and talented,” he added.
Looking ahead, Scott is hopeful that his children will spend more time on set during the upcoming third season, further fostering the familial bond through shared experiences in the world of television.
New episodes of “Doc” air on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox. With Scott Wolf’s commitment to both family and his craft, it seems that he is carving a path of meaningful success, both personally and professionally.
