As they mark a significant milestone, Lauryn and Michael Bosstick are set to unveil a fresh title for their popular podcast. After a decade of success with *The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Show*, the married couple will rebrand as *The Bossticks* in March. The change commemorates not only the show’s tenth anniversary but also the couple’s journey together, both personally and professionally.

Over the last ten years, the Bossticks have transformed their relationship into a thriving business, highlighted by a podcast that has featured notable guests such as Khloe Kardashian and Martha Stewart. This rebranding signifies their desire to emphasise their names and identities as creators, fully embracing their achievements.
In discussing the transition, Lauryn, 39, shared her thoughts on the evolution of their brand. “It’s served us so well for so long, but it’s time for us to step into a new chapter and a new era,” she explained. “We want to really own our name, and this rebrand feels fresh and evolved. It reflects where we’re at now and how our audience has grown.”
Echoing Lauryn’s sentiments, Michael added that the transformation also serves to distinguish their podcast from other ventures in the media landscape. “A lot of creators tend to start with their names and then branch out. We’ve had quite a lengthy journey and now we’re prepared to put our name at the forefront,” he stated.
Lauryn initially gained notoriety for her blog, *The Skinny Confidential*, which she launched during her university days in 2011. The blog’s immense popularity paved the way for the development of their podcast, which eventually led to the creation of Dear Media in 2018, a celebrated hub for pop culture and lifestyle podcasts. Michael serves as the CEO of Dear Media, while Lauryn takes on a partner role in the organisation. Additionally, she is the founder of her namesake beauty brand, which has received endorsements from various celebrities.
Despite their success in business, the couple candidly acknowledged the challenges of intertwining their personal and professional lives. Their long-standing relationship, which began when they were just 12 years old, has flourished over the years, but has also posed unique challenges when mixing romance with business.
When asked about the common myth that couples should avoid working together, both Lauryn and Michael chuckled in agreement. “Those people are probably right,” Michael joked, while Lauryn added, “That’s really great advice.” The complexity of managing a work relationship alongside marriage has proven to be a learning curve for the couple.
Michael described the difficulties involved in navigation their work relationship. “This has been the hardest thing for us to figure out,” he explained. “Not co-parenting, not our intimate relationship, but the working dynamic. In business, one person often has to lead in certain areas,” he noted. Lauryn concurred, highlighting that mutual respect over their respective strengths has become essential in their collaboration.
Despite these challenges, both Michael and Lauryn value the time they spend working together. Michael expressed his appreciation, declaring it one of the most rewarding aspects of their lives. Lauryn echoed this sentiment, calling their collaboration among the top experiences of her life. “We genuinely enjoy being together,” she shared.
They also offered advice to other couples considering embarking on a similar path. Lauryn emphasised the importance of recognising each other’s strengths and relinquishing control where needed. “You have to respect where each one should be the dominant one,” she advised.
The Bossticks have learned important lessons from the guests that have appeared on their podcast, which have informed the adventures they’ve taken together. To accompany their rebrand, they plan to share the top ten lessons learned throughout their podcasting experience. Additionally, they aim to introduce a new series, *How We Live. Each*, which will explore personal topics such as managing calendars and vacation planning.
Lauryn reflects on the complexities of building both a life and a business with Michael, noting that the synergy they share is invaluable. She appreciates Michael’s understanding of her entrepreneurial challenges, highlighting the importance of mutual empathy in their partnership. “Our life is packed every second of the day, and he can really relate to what I’m going through,” she commented.
Michael also praised Lauryn’s efforts within their family, describing her as an equal partner in parenting their three young children. “She often takes 60% if I want to sleep longer,” he quipped. Despite the numerous responsibilities that come with their busy lifestyle, the pair recognise the growth they’ve achieved together.
In the ever-evolving landscape of media and relationships, Lauryn and Michael Bosstick’s decision to rebrand their podcast reflects not just a new chapter in their professional lives, but also a commitment to personal growth. Their journey serves as an inspiring example of navigating the complexities of love and business, highlighting the importance of communication, respect, and collaboration. With a fresh focus as *The Bossticks*, the couple looks forward to sharing their experiences and insights with their audience in innovative ways.
