A Detroit mother has been charged with multiple offences, including child abuse, in connection with the tragic shooting death of her six-year-old daughter. The charges against Tonya Charisse-Annice Johnson, 41, stem from an incident that took place on March 2, when her daughter was fatally injured after an unsecured firearm discharged in a vehicle.

According to reports from the Detroit Police Department, Johnson has been charged with a firearms safe storage violation, three counts of second-degree child abuse, and four counts of felony firearm possession.
