Jessi Ngatikaura, a 33-year-old MumToker, sheds light on her affair with Marciano Brunette in the latest season of ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.’ In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Jessi candidly discusses her apprehension when rumours about her relationship with Marciano began to circulate.

Throughout the second season of the show, Jessi vehemently denied any romantic involvement with Marciano, a fellow cast member of the Hulu series ‘Vanderpump Villa.’ However, in the current season, Jessi bravely confronts the reality of her emotional affair with Marciano and the impending public disclosure of their connection.

When speculation first arose about a potential relationship between them, Jessi admits to feeling “terrified.” She recalls, “I was terrified because I was like, ‘Oh no, this could be coming out.’ But also, that wasn’t true. I never kissed him in public, so that rumor was a rumor.”
Jessi goes on to clarify the nature of her involvement with Marciano, acknowledging that while they did share kisses and engage in emotional conversations, there was no physical intimacy beyond that. Despite her fears, Jessi is determined to set the record straight on the show, even if it means confronting uncomfortable truths about her actions.
Reflecting on her regrets from the season, Jessi admits, “Looking back, I think one of my regrets from the season is that I was so nice to Marciano, and I was kind of borderline flirty. It was the first time I had seen him since things had ended. So there were still some lingering feelings, and I was in a bad place in my marriage.”
In a pivotal moment on the show, Jessi and Marciano undergo a lie detector test to address the allegations surrounding their relationship. The results confirm that they did not engage in sexual activity beyond kissing, dispelling previous misconceptions about their affair.
Addressing her decision to seek closure with Marciano, Jessi explains, “The girls and I really saw it as an opportunity to get the information we needed. And if we were just immediately mean to him or defensive, he wouldn’t have done that.”
The revelation of Jessi’s affair understandably stirs emotions in her husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, leading to tense confrontations captured on camera. Jordan acknowledges his past behaviour, expressing remorse for the pain he caused Jessi during their marriage and emphasising his commitment to personal growth and healing.
Throughout the tumultuous period depicted on the show, Jessi finds solace in the support of her fellow cast members, particularly Mayci, Mikayla, and Taylor. Their unwavering friendship and understanding serve as a source of strength for Jessi during a challenging time.
Looking ahead, Jessi is both anxious and hopeful about how viewers will react to her story. She recognises that sharing such personal struggles publicly is a daunting yet necessary step towards healing and moving forward in her life and relationships.
As ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ season 3 continues to unfold, Jessi remains focused on rebuilding trust, both with her husband and her community. Her journey of self-discovery and vulnerability serves as a testament to the resilience and growth that can emerge from confronting difficult truths.
The latest episodes of ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ are now available for streaming on Hulu, offering audiences a candid glimpse into Jessi’s journey of introspection and transformation.
