Princess Beatrice’s New Royal Role as Andrew’s Titles Revoked

Princess Beatrice has stepped into a new royal role following the removal of her father Andrew’s titles. The princess, alongside her uncle Prince Edward, has been appointed as Deputy Patron and Lead Patron of Outward Bound, a charity dedicated to nurturing children through nature experiences.

This significant development comes shortly after King Charles officially stripped Andrew Mountbatten Windsor of his royal titles through the issuance of the Letters Patent. Princess Beatrice, aged 37, has been actively involved with Outward Bound since 2019, serving as a Trustee before taking on her new position. Her uncle, Prince Edward, aged 61, will serve as the Royal Patron of the organization, continuing the legacy of his late father, Prince Philip, who was the former primary patron of Outward Bound until his passing in 2019.

The Chief Executive of Outward Bound, Martin Davidson, expressed their excitement for this new chapter with the involvement of Princess Beatrice and Prince Edward. He highlighted the significance of adventure in transforming lives and how the royal support reflects a shared belief in the power of such experiences.

The official announcement of Princess Beatrice and Prince Edward’s appointments was made at a special event held at St. James’s Palace in London on November 6. Teens Sadie and Leo shared their personal Outward Bound experiences, emphasizing the positive impact of the charity’s programs.

Despite the recent turbulence surrounding her family due to King Charles’ decision to revoke Andrew’s titles, Princess Beatrice remains steadfast in her role. As per King George V’s Letters Patent of 1917, she and her sister Princess Eugenie, aged 35, will retain their royal statuses as daughters of a sovereign’s son. Both princesses will continue to be referred to as Her Royal Highness.

While Princess Beatrice is not a working royal in an official capacity, she holds the crucial position of a Counsellor of State. This role allows her to perform constitutional duties in the absence of the King due to travel or illness, demonstrating her ongoing connection to royal responsibilities.

Princess Beatrice, married to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi since 2020, shares two daughters, Sienna and Athena, as well as Edoardo’s son Christopher Woolf. Although her daughters do not currently hold royal titles in England, they have inherited Italian nobility from their father’s lineage. The family’s ties to Italy include inheriting the ancestral estate, Villa Mapelli Mozzi palace, enriching their heritage.
