Halle Bailey, the renowned singer, and her ex-partner DDG have recently reached an amicable custody agreement for their 22-month-old son, Halo Saint. The former couple, who separated back in October 2024, have finally settled on a custody arrangement, which also involved dropping their restraining orders against each other.
Court documents obtained by PEOPLE reveal that Halle Bailey and DDG have agreed to a temporary custody arrangement for Halo, where the streamer will have custody of their son on Wednesdays and specific weekends. Halo will primarily reside with Halle Bailey, known for her role in The Color Purple musical adaptation. Both parties have also agreed on a holiday schedule for their son’s well-being.

Furthermore, in addition to ironing out their custody agreement, Halle Bailey and DDG have decided to refrain from speaking negatively about each other, whether in public or in front of Halo. This decision aims to maintain a healthy co-parenting environment and shield their child from any potential conflicts between the parents.
The former couple has faced various challenges and legal proceedings regarding their son’s custody over the past few months. Notably, a judge previously prohibited both Halle Bailey and DDG from posting any images or information about Halo on social media platforms. This measure aimed to protect the child’s privacy during the ongoing custody discussions.

In a recent development, court-approved visitation terms allowed DDG to have monitored visits with Halo. These visits were scheduled for Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., along with alternate Sundays during the same timeframe. The court’s decision came after a turbulent period for the ex-couple, during which they filed restraining orders against each other.
This chapter in the custody agreement follows a series of legal actions initiated by both parties earlier this year. DDG had previously requested the court to restrict Halle Bailey from travelling abroad with Halo, citing concerns about the child’s well-being and safety. However, the court denied DDG’s request, marking a turning point in the ongoing custody dispute.
Moreover, Halle Bailey had previously accused DDG of abusive behaviour and successfully obtained a temporary restraining order against him. By detailing instances of alleged abuse suffered at the hands of DDG, she sought legal protection for herself and her son. The temporary restraining order mandated DDG to maintain a safe distance from Halle Bailey and Halo at all times.
In a show of commitment to co-parenting their son amicably, Halle Bailey and DDG have navigated through legal complexities to reach a custody agreement that prioritises Halo’s well-being. The resolution to drop restraining orders and uphold civil communication sets a positive tone for their future interactions as co-parents. By focusing on their son’s best interests, the former couple aims to provide a stable and nurturing environment for Halo Saint.
