A heart-wrenching lawsuit has been filed by Shamaya Jackson against Albany Medical Center, where her precious one-month-old daughter, Milani, tragically passed away. According to the lawsuit, Jackson claims that the medical centre’s actions led to a “significant, life-threatening condition” that ultimately resulted in the death of her newborn daughter.

As Milani’s health deteriorated further on April 25, Jackson rushed her back to Albany Medical Center, where her oxygen levels dropped significantly. The diagnosis of “acute hypoxic respiratory failure secondary to human metapneumovirus bronchiolitis” was made, indicating a severe respiratory condition akin to RSV. Shockingly, the lawsuit states that Milani was discharged home the next day while still battling this life-threatening illness.
The lawsuit details a distressing scene on April 27 when Jackson returned to the medical centre as Milani’s condition worsened, leading to respiratory failure. Despite seeking urgent medical attention, Jackson alleges that they faced delays in receiving timely assistance, and tragically, Milani passed away the following day, on April 28.
