Rebecca Haro recounted to ABC 7 Eyewitness News that she was attacked before her son was allegedly kidnapped. She explained, “I got him out of the car seat, and I laid him down so I can get his diaper ready … all I remember, I saw white … I fell on the floor, and as soon as I got up, I couldn’t find my son.” Despite the incident, an Amber Alert hasn’t been issued as there were no descriptions of the suspect or the vehicle available. Additionally, no security footage was found in the area where Emmanuel disappeared.

The sheriff’s department has been diligently working to locate the missing boy, employing K9 scent-tracking dogs in the search efforts. An update on the investigation mentioned that law enforcement officials have executed numerous searches in Yucaipa and Cabazon to gather any evidence related to Emmanuel’s disappearance.

Court records indicate that Jake Haro was previously convicted of child cruelty in connection to injuries sustained by his daughter from a previous relationship.
