GloRilla Faces Felony Drug Possession Charges in Georgia

Rising rapper GloRilla has found herself in legal trouble once again, this time facing allegations of felony drug possession in Georgia. The incident unfolded when police responded to a burglary attempt at her residence, leading to a startling discovery.
The 25-year-old artist, whose real name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, was reportedly not present during the break-in at her home. However, law enforcement officials revealed that upon investigating the scene, they detected a strong odour of illegal narcotics. This prompted them to escalate their search, ultimately uncovering a significant quantity of marijuana in GloRilla’s master bedroom closet.
Subsequently, GloRilla voluntarily surrendered herself at the Forsyth County Jail on July 22. Following her arrest on charges of Felony Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a schedule one controlled substance, she was released on a bond of $22,260. Despite her release, an ongoing investigation into the burglary is in progress.
Sheriff Ron Freeman expressed his stance on the matter, acknowledging GloRilla as a victim of a grave crime while also emphasising the need to uphold the law fully. The sheriff assured that efforts were underway to bring the burglary suspects to justice, underscoring the seriousness of the situation.
This recent legal entanglement marks a notable development in GloRilla’s career, following a previous arrest on DUI charges in Suwanee, Ga. in April 2024. On that occasion, she was apprehended after allegedly making a U-turn at a red light, exhibiting signs of impairment during the traffic stop.

Having released new singles like “Typa” and “Rain Down on Me” in June, she remains dedicated to her craft.
