Passengers flying with Spirit Airlines were left horrified after witnessing cockroaches crawling up the walls of the plane cabin, capturing the attention of trapped passenger Simone Beez. The unsettling incident was shared by Beez in a series of videos posted on social media on Sunday, May 11. In the footage, multiple cockroaches can be seen making their way up various parts of the interior, including the walls and a seat within the cabin.

In one of the videos, a brown roach can be observed climbing up the back of a chair from the seat pocket, eliciting murmurs from other passengers in the background. Another clip shows a bug crawling up the side of the plane wall near an emergency exit and close to another seat. The distressing sight prompted Beez to express her shock and dismay, declaring her resolve to never fly with Spirit Airlines again.

Following the incident, Beez took to social media to share her experience, stating, “Never again will I fly @SpiritAirlines. I’ve flown over 500,000 miles on Delta and have never in my life seen roaches on a plane, this is crazy.” Expressing her disbelief, she added, “All the people saying roaches are common on planes are lying.” Beez also highlighted the stark contrast with her experience on Delta, where she had never encountered such issues.

The post quickly gained traction, with numerous individuals expressing their astonishment and support for Beez. Comments flooded in, with many echoing Beez’s sentiments and calling for better compensation and actions from the airline. Despite Spirit Airlines issuing Beez a $60 voucher for her next trip as an apology, she made it clear that she had no intentions of flying with the airline again, deeming it a one-time experience.

This unsettling incident is not an isolated case, as passengers have previously reported finding unwelcome critters in unexpected places while onboard flights. In a similar incident last September, a passenger shared photos of a cockroach found in her in-flight meal while travelling with Air India to New York with her young child.
