The iconic Grand Ole Opry is gearing up for its grand celebration marking 100 years of country music history. As the highly anticipated ‘Opry 100: A Live Celebration’ approaches, set to be broadcast on Wednesday, March 19, a special preview has been shared to give fans a glimpse of what to expect at the event that pays tribute to the legendary venue and its significant influence on the country music genre throughout the last century.

Blake Shelton will take on the hosting duties for this star-studded live special, featuring unforgettable performances from an array of renowned artists and heartfelt tributes honouring the Opry’s rich legacy.
In a teaser clip, country music stars such as Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, Brad Paisley, Barbara Mandrell, Luke Combs, and Bill Anderson express their reverence for the historic event. Reflecting on the atmosphere at the Opry House, Kelsea Ballerini remarks, “You just walk into the Opry House and you feel the history and the richness of the stories and the people that have made country music what it is.”
Additionally, Luke Combs shares his sentiments about the venue, stating, “Getting to be here and standing on the stage that everyone has dreamed of standing 1 million times, and getting to say you’re a part of that, is a badge of honor.”
The three-hour live celebration promises a lineup filled with stellar performances from the likes of Shelton, Urban, Ballerini, Paisley, Combs, and an array of other music icons including Alan Jackson, Alison Krauss & Union Station, Ashley McBryde, and many more.
Reba McEntire will pay tribute to country legends Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn, while Post Malone and Travis Tritt team up for a rendition of Tritt’s classic hit, “T.R.O.U.B.L.E.” Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood will honour George Jones and Tammy Wynette during the ceremony, blending new and classic country melodies to celebrate the Opry’s influential history.
The broadcast will feature performances from the Grand Ole Opry House as well as Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium, adding an extra touch of nostalgia and tradition to the event.
‘Opry 100: A Live Celebration’ is scheduled to air live on Wednesday, March 19 at 8 P.M. ET on both NBC and Peacock, guaranteeing viewers a night filled with exceptional musical performances and heartfelt tributes that encompass a century of country music magic.
