During an appearance on the show ‘Dinner’s on Me with Jesse Tyler Ferguson’ on March 18, Rossdale disclosed that McBrayer has been a constant presence during Christmas and Thanksgiving celebrations with Rossdale and his children since his divorce from Gwen Stefani.

Expressing fondly about their friendship, Rossdale, 59, mentioned, “Since I got divorced and was raising the kids on my own, he’s come to every Christmas and Thanksgiving that I do with my kids.” Rossdale also humorously shared that McBrayer even sent him an invoice for his “presence” during one Thanksgiving, which Rossdale posted on his Instagram.

Acknowledging McBrayer’s support, Rossdale highlighted that the actor has also appeared on his cooking show, ‘Dinner with Gavin Rossdale,’ along with other notable guests such as Serena Williams, Common, and Selma Blair. Moreover, Rossdale mentioned that McBrayer has been assisting him with auditions, albeit without any success in landing a role yet.

The former couple, Rossdale and Stefani, were married from 2002 until 2015 and are parents to three sons – Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo. In a past interview in 2020, Rossdale expressed his desire to impress his children with his music and shared, “I don’t want them to play my records to their friends and say, ‘What happened to my dad?’ I want them to be like, ‘My dad’s on fire.'”
