Gal Gadot, the renowned actress known for her role as Wonder Woman, recently opened up about a harrowing health scare she faced while pregnant with her fourth child. The 39-year-old star shared her ordeal on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon while promoting her latest movie, Snow White.

In a candid discussion with host Jimmy Fallon, Gadot recounted the frightening symptoms she experienced that ultimately led to the discovery of blood clots in her brain. She described feeling “very pregnant” when she started experiencing severe headaches, which persisted for three weeks before the diagnosis was made.

The actress revealed that medical professionals found not just one, but three blood clots in her brain. Despite the alarming situation, Gadot maintained her sense of humour, quipping, “When I do something, I do it all the way.” These blood clots posed a serious threat to both her and her unborn child.
Initially attributing her symptoms to migraines and hormonal changes, doctors failed to identify the underlying issue. It was only after relentless pursuit and insistence from her mother that Gadot underwent an MRI scan, which led to the discovery of the life-threatening condition.
Following the diagnosis, Gadot was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, where she underwent a thrombectomy to remove the blood clots. The procedure, lasting between 1 to 3 hours, proved to be crucial in saving her life and that of her unborn baby, whom she fondly referred to as “a little caterpillar.”
Expressing her gratitude towards the medical team at the hospital, Gadot emphasised the importance of promptly addressing concerning symptoms. She credited the swift intervention for ensuring the well-being of both herself and her daughter, Ori, who was born in March 2024, joining her older siblings Alma, Maya, and Daniella.
Gadot’s emotional revelation on the talk show mirrored her sentiments shared on social media, where she described the scare as a potent reminder of life’s fragility. She highlighted the profound impact the experience had on her perception of resilience and the value of cherishing every moment.
While the health scare undoubtedly shook Gadot and her family, the actress emerged from the ordeal with a renewed appreciation for the gift of life. Reflecting on her journey, she expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of her husband, Jaron Varsano, and the light her daughter Ori symbolised during a dark and uncertain period.
In a world where celebrity status often overshadows personal struggles, Gadot’s story serves as a poignant reminder that health crises can affect anyone, regardless of fame or fortune. By sharing her vulnerability and resilience, she inspires others to prioritise health and seek timely medical attention when faced with alarming symptoms.
As Gadot continues to captivate audiences with her on-screen roles, her real-life battle with brain clots stands as a testament to the unpredictability of life and the resilience of the human spirit. Her story serves as a beacon of hope and courage, reminding us all to cherish each day and embrace the challenges with unwavering strength.
