A woman has been accused of an elaborate scheme involving drugging and ultimately causing the deaths of older men through a dating app scam. The alleged perpetrator, identified as Aurora Phelps, used various dating apps to target and deceive older men in what authorities have described as a “romance scam on steroids” that resulted in multiple fatalities. The United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Nevada announced that Phelps has been charged with a total of 21 counts, including wire fraud, mail fraud, bank fraud, identity theft, kidnapping, and kidnapping resulting in death.
