Two American Tourists Injured in Bahamas Shark Attack, Police Say

Two American tourists have been injured in an apparent shark attack in the Bahamas, as reported by the Royal Bahamas Police Force. The incident involving two American women took place at Bimini Bay, a luxury resort area, around 6:30 p.m. local time on Friday, Feb. 7.

Although the identities of the victims were not disclosed, it was confirmed that they were swimming in the waters when the alleged shark attack occurred. Following the incident, both women received initial treatment on-site before being airlifted to New Providence for further medical attention.

According to the press release from the Royal Bahamas Police Force, one of the victims sustained serious injuries during the attack, and investigations are currently underway to gather more information on the incident.
