A Pittsburgh Pirates fan, Kavan Markwood, recently found himself in legal trouble after an incident involving his ex-girlfriend’s house. Markwood, who previously made headlines for falling more than 20 feet onto the outfield during a game last spring, now faces a misdemeanor charge of loitering and prowling at nighttime. The authorities revealed that Markwood, 21, was spotted outside his ex-girlfriend’s Pennsylvania residence in the early hours of Sunday, Sept. 28.

According to reports, Markwood was allegedly attempting to force his way into his ex-girlfriend’s home by knocking on her front door around 3:30 a.m. The woman, who had a restraining order against Markwood, informed the police about the incident. Law enforcement officials reviewed Ring video footage that captured Markwood at the property, where he was seen ringing the doorbell before fleeing the scene. Subsequently, Brentwood, Pa. police found Markwood hiding in his vehicle, parked on a nearby street, with a noticeable smell of alcohol. He was then taken back home by a friend and now faces the misdemeanor charge related to the incident.

Markwood, a former Division II football player, was recently in court to show support for his friend Ethan Kirkwood, who faced charges of providing alcohol to Markwood when he was a minor during the game in which he fell. Markwood’s then-girlfriend, Alonna Brown, was also present at the game. Although it is uncertain whether Brown is the ex-girlfriend involved in the latest incident, Markwood firmly denied the allegations made against him, stating that they were untrue.

In the ex-girlfriend’s petition for a restraining order, she detailed various concerns about Markwood’s behaviour, including excessive alcohol consumption, verbal abuse, property damage, and firearm ownership.
