**Two American Tourists Tragically Die at Newly Opened Luxury Resort**

Two American tourists tragically drowned in separate incidents at the newly opened Celebration Key resort in the Bahamas on Friday, August 15th. The Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF) reported that both victims, a man and woman in their 70s, were found “unresponsive” in the water on two different occasions.
According to Carnival Cruise Line, the guests were staying at the resort after disembarking from separate cruise ships. The 79-year-old man was found snorkeling at a beach before becoming unresponsive and requiring assistance from a lifeguard. Despite CPR efforts, he was pronounced dead by a medical doctor at the scene.
Shortly after, a 74-year-old woman was discovered “unresponsive” on board another cruise ship at Celebration Key. Police indicated that she became unresponsive while swimming in a pool. Despite attempts to resuscitate her, the woman also passed away.
The tragic incidents prompted the Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF) to initiate investigations and schedule autopsies for both victims to determine their causes of death. Authorities continue to look into the circumstances surrounding these heartbreaking events.
