In recent updates from the Chrisley family, Savannah Chrisley shared insights on her evolving role in parenting her younger sister, Chloe, 12. The podcast host recently delved into details on her podcast, Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley, shedding light on the adjustments she has made since her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were released from prison.
Since her parents’ release, Savannah has consciously taken a step back from her parental duties towards her sister Chloe. The 28-year-old explained that she no longer plays the primary parenting role for Chloe as she did when her parents were serving their time. Savannah expressed her delight in being able to revert to being a sister figure for Chloe, engaging in more enjoyable activities like shopping for makeup together.

However, despite the shift in responsibilities, Savannah mentioned that she still finds herself handling certain aspects of parenting for Chloe out of habit from the two and a half years she took on a more significant role in her sister’s upbringing. She shared, “I’m still doing some little parental things, just because, like I said, we did live a certain way for two and a half years.”

Savannah’s endeavours to balance her roles as a sister and a pseudo-parent were evident as she recounted the recent moments spent with Chloe, enjoying trips to the mall and bonding over shared experiences. Savannah commended Chloe, describing her as a “breath of fresh air” and highlighting the positive changes she has witnessed in her sister during their time together.
Looking ahead, Savannah expressed her interest in having Chloe participate in the podcast to share her perspective on the past few years. She acknowledged the challenges they faced as a family during her parents’ incarceration, but also emphasised the growth and resilience they have collectively developed through the experience.
In a pivotal turn of events, Savannah’s parents, Todd and Julie, were convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion in June 2022, which led to their subsequent imprisonment. However, after approximately 28 months, President Trump granted the couple a full pardon, allowing them to reunite with their children and resume their family life.
Savannah’s efforts and sacrifices during her parents’ absence did not go unnoticed, as her mother, Julie, expressed her gratitude for Savannah’s unwavering support. Julie praised her daughter’s role as a caretaker to her siblings, highlighting the seamless transition and the immense pride she felt in Savannah’s ability to step up in their time of need.
Reflecting on her journey as the primary caregiver for her siblings, Savannah shared candidly that while the responsibility was challenging, she approached it with determination and resilience. She admitted to the struggles she faced amidst the legal battles and adjustments to her new family dynamic but underscored her commitment to fulfilling her obligations with grace and dedication.
As the Chrisley family navigates this new chapter post-release, Savannah’s story serves as a testament to the strength of familial bonds and the resilience that can emerge from adversity. Savannah’s journey of transition from parent to sister reflects a tale of love, growth, and unwavering support, encapsulating the essence of family unity in times of trial and triumph.
In conclusion, Savannah Chrisley’s narrative underscores the profound impact of familial dynamics and resilience in overcoming challenges, illuminating a path of growth and unity for her family moving forward.
