The iconic rockabilly band, Stray Cats, has announced their highly anticipated first tour since guitarist and vocalist Brian Setzer shared his diagnosis of an autoimmune disease back in February. Setzer, along with bandmates Lee Rocker and Slim Jim Phantom, will be hitting the road this fall for a series of live shows across North America. The announcement comes after Setzer released a video of himself playing guitar in April and provided updates on his health journey to fans.
The upcoming tour, set to kick off in October, will feature classic hits like “Stray Cat Strut,” “Rock This Town,” and “(She’s) Sexy + 17” among others. Setzer expressed his gratitude for the enduring connection their music has with fans of all generations, noting the timeless appeal of their sound. Rocker echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the energy and excitement that comes with their live performances. Phantom added to the excitement, promising fans an unforgettable experience as they take the stage once again in 2025.
The tour announcement follows Setzer’s revelation earlier this year about his health struggles with the autoimmune disease affecting his ability to play the guitar. Despite the challenges, Setzer remains optimistic, sharing his progress with fans and expressing his determination to overcome the condition. With the support of medical professionals at the renowned Mayo Clinic, Setzer is confident in his recovery and looks forward to resuming his musical ventures with the Stray Cats.
In celebration of his 66th birthday, Setzer delighted fans by posting a video of himself returning to his beloved guitar playing. The heartwarming moment served as a testament to his resilience and passion for music. Fans eager to catch the Stray Cats live can secure their tickets through the artist presale, with general ticket sales opening soon. The band’s Fall 2025 Tour will include stops in various cities, promising audiences a lively and unforgettable rockabilly experience.
As the Stray Cats gear up for their long-awaited tour, the anticipation among fans continues to grow.
