A Florida woman, Donna Marie Elkins, 59, was taken into custody after allegedly holding two teenagers at gunpoint in Melbourne, Florida on March 28. According to court documents obtained by People, Elkins has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault without intent to kill and two counts of false imprisonment. The incident unfolded when Elkins called authorities to report a disturbance on her property, claiming that a 13-year-old and a 15-year-old were fishing in her backyard. She stated that she had “petrified them,” and when law enforcement arrived, she declared that she had “stopped them and they were laying on the ground.”

Upon the officers’ arrival, Elkins disclosed that she had brandished a pellet gun in an attempt to frighten the boys. She allegedly aimed the gun at them, menacingly threatening to “blow their heads off.” The teenagers were instructed to remain motionless on the ground for five minutes until Elkins’ spouse emerged from the house and disarmed her. The victims later informed the deputies that they felt their lives were in danger during the harrowing ordeal.
