The untitled series, backed by the team behind “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” is expected to delve into Leavitt’s experiences as she balances her rising fame with the demands of family life. According to reports from Deadline, producers from Jeff Jenkins Productions, 3BMG, and Leavitt Media House will contribute to the show’s development and execution.

Leavitt’s announcement comes after her departure from her previous reality series, which she confirmed during her final performance in Broadway’s “Chicago” as the character Roxie Hart. The decision to leave was made in May, and she made the announcement while still in character on stage, marking a dramatic conclusion to her time on the show.

Whitney Leavitt was a prominent figure in “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” which premiered in September 2024, focusing on the lives and relationships within the popular “MomTok” community. Her participation in the series saw her become one of the most recognised cast members, particularly after she encountered conflicts with other participants during the debut season.
Reflecting on her exit from the show, Leavitt expressed a sense of closure during an interview with PEOPLE magazine. “It’s a huge chapter in my life, but I felt like everybody knew that it was time for that chapter to end,” she stated. Although she mentioned having regrets about some experiences, she maintained a positive outlook.
Since stepping away from her previous reality series, Leavitt has not slowed her career momentum. She recently showcased her talents on season 34 of “Dancing with the Stars,” where she performed admirably, reaching the semi-finals alongside her dance partner, Mark Ballas. Leavitt described the end of her journey on the show as akin to a breakup, indicating that she missed the camaraderie and the routines she had developed during her time in the competition.
In addition to her television endeavours, Leavitt is making strides in her Broadway career. After an impressive three-month run portraying Roxie Hart, she is gearing up to take on a new role as Sandra Dee in “Just in Time.” The production, which also stars Jeremy Jordan, will run for a limited six weeks at the Circle in the Square Theatre in New York, finishing on 10 January 2027.
In an interview, Leavitt explained how her interest in musical theatre deepened after watching Jonathan Groff perform in a similar production. “He’s the best of all time,” she remarked, highlighting the inspiration she draws from other performers in the industry.
Leavitt’s adaptability and determination have kept her in the public eye, as she has also been cast in the upcoming sixth season of “The Traitors.” This announcement arrived shortly after her husband, Conner Leavitt, competed on “Dancing with the Stars,” where he unfortunately faced elimination on the first night.
Despite the whirlwind of projects on her plate, Leavitt reflected on the success of her extended run in “Chicago,” noting that it achieved its highest weekly box office gross in its 29-year history. She credited the dedicated cast and crew, emphasising the collaborative effort required to reach such remarkable heights.
As Whitney Leavitt embarks on this new chapter in her career, anticipation builds for her upcoming reality series. The venture promises to showcase her multifaceted life and talents while providing viewers with a deeper connection to her family’s dynamics. As fans await further updates, Leavitt remains committed to exploring her passions across television and theatre, continually pushing the boundaries of her artistic endeavours.
