Jessica Biel has shared her excitement for Halloween, revealing the themed costumes she and her family plan to wear this year. In a recent podcast episode of The Romesh Ranganathan Show, which aired on October 25, the actress discussed how her children and husband, Justin Timberlake, have influenced their festive costumes.

Biel, 44, expressed her delight at her family’s shared enthusiasm for the holiday. “My family loves Halloween. My kids love Halloween,” she stated. This year marks a return to family coordinating costumes, a change from the previous years where her eldest son, Silas, has preferred to seek his own individual style. “For the last few years, he was like, ‘You guys are lame. I don’t want to dress anything like what you’re dressing,’” she noted with a laugh.
Silas, who is now 11 years old, has chosen to dress as Eric Cartman from the animated sitcom “South Park.” Created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the show first premiered in 1997 and continues to be popular. The programme follows the adventures of four boys in a fictional Colorado town, with Cartman being one of the main characters. Biel commented, “Which is a really cool one,” highlighting her son’s exciting choice.

While Biel and Timberlake have yet to decide on their specific costumes, it is likely they will dress as characters from “South Park” as well, as Biel mentioned, “So fun for Justin and I.” With their home in Montana, the couple will adapt their costumes to the chilly weather, noting they would likely wear winter clothing as part of their ensemble.
Trick-or-treating could present some challenges for the family, given their remote residence. “There’s, like, not a neighbor close enough to trick-or-treat out there,” Biel explained, indicating that they plan to overcome the issue by visiting nearby neighbourhoods to partake in the Halloween tradition.

In contrast to his brother’s choice, Biel’s younger son, Phineas, aged six, has opted for a rather different costume, choosing to dress as Ghost Face from the “Scream” franchise. Interestingly, Biel pointed out that Phineas has never watched the films but was drawn to the character nonetheless. “He’s just going to be him,” she said, reflecting on the quirky nature of children’s costume selections.
Biel also took the opportunity to share her feelings about returning to acting with her first film in over nine years, describing the experience as “perfect timing” with her children being older now. She articulated how important it was for her to take on a role that could make her children proud. “It just was the perfect timing and felt like an opportunity that my kids would be proud of, that they could see,” she remarked.
As Halloween approaches, many families will find joy and connection in celebrating the holiday, and the Timberlake-Biel family is no exception. Their shared excitement for costumes serves not only to entertain the children but to strengthen family bonds as they navigate the festive season together.
