Guerdy Abraira, a prominent star of *The Real Housewives of Miami*, is embracing a renewed sense of self following her recent breast reconstruction surgery. The 48-year-old reality television personality, who is two months post-surgery, opened up about her transformative journey during a candid talk on the Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast.

Speaking with hosts Danny Murphy and Evan Real, Abraira revealed that she feels invigorated after overcoming the challenges posed by breast cancer. “This is Lilly and Lola, my girls,” she said while showcasing her breast implants. With a confident smile, she added, “We are two months out, and we are thriving, and we are enjoying the girls. Not only me but [husband] Russell.”

Abraira’s battle with breast cancer began in March 2023 when she was diagnosed and subsequently underwent a lumpectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation. By November 2023, she had received the much-awaited news that she was cancer-free. Despite her health triumph, she acknowledged that during the filming of the seventh season of *RHOM*, she was initially ambivalent about undergoing surgery, stating she “wasn’t in the right space” at that time.
“I wanted to just heal from the inside out. And thus I have,” she expressed, highlighting the significant role therapy played in her recovery process. She emphasised how important it was for her to emerge not just physically transformed, but also mentally and emotionally healthier. “Now, from the outside is where I wanted to shine as well and have this big boost of confidence. So I decided…I’m ready.”
Her journey towards recovery has not only revived her spirit but also reinforced her femininity. “I just wanted to still wake up in the morning and feel like a woman,” she shared, alluding to the impact her surgeries have had on her self-image. Abraira described her experience with the breast implants as “the best journey ever,” and expressed relief at finally feeling like herself once again.
In addition to her physical transformation, Abraira has made lifestyle changes that have further contributed to her well-being. She mentioned losing weight after experiencing gains related to her chemotherapy treatment, crediting a GLP-1 medication as a tool in her weight loss journey. “I am 30 pounds down, and I am feeling so sexy,” she enthused. “The confidence booster is amazing, and these girls really help me feel like a woman again.”
Reflecting on her journey thus far, she declared, “So now I am full circle. Your girl 2.0 Guerdy is back.” This statement encapsulates her determination to reclaim her identity and her zest for life after a tumultuous period.
Last year, in another heartfelt encounter with PEOPLE, Abraira spoke about “reclaiming a part of herself” following her breast cancer ordeal. She offered a philosophy that resonated deeply with many: “My motto is: ‘You look good, you feel good—and when you feel good, you do good.’ I’m living, and I love it.” Her observations about the healing process acknowledge that it transcends mere survival; it is fundamentally about truly embracing life.
Guerdy Abraira’s journey attests to the power of resilience, self-love, and the profound impact of personal transformation during and after adversity. With her new outlook on life, she isn’t just navigating challenges; she is thriving and encouraging others to do the same. As she continues to inspire her audience, Abraira remains focused on prioritising herself and celebrating her triumphs.
