Chad Michael Murray, known for his roles in various popular television series, has recently shared his thoughts on the joys of parenthood and his connection with fellow celebrity friends. In a recent interview, he expressed his excitement about the arrival of Harper, the daughter born to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and actress Hailee Steinfeld in April.

Murray reflected on the “beautiful, light-up moment” when he first learned about the couple’s impending parenthood. “They’re just as lovely as you would think they’d be,” he remarked, highlighting the genuine character of the pair. Murray, who has a long-standing friendship with Allen, took a moment to praise not only the quarterback but also his wife, describing them as “homegrown, beautiful, salt-of-the-earth people.”
The 45-year-old actor also shared his admiration for Allen’s dedication both on and off the field. “Josh loves his teammates more than anybody, and his family reflects that same warmth,” Murray explained. He enjoys attending Bills games and appreciates the atmosphere they create together as friends, often bringing his children along to experience the camaraderie that comes with being part of Allen’s extended family.

Murray, a father of three himself, with an 11-year-old son and two daughters aged 9 and 3, extended his best wishes and advice to the new parents. He noted that once their baby becomes mobile, things will change significantly for them. He joked, “Once the babe gets mobile… that’s the game changer. I’m sure she’ll be there in the box and chilling at every game,” offering a glimpse into the blend of parenthood and sports that often characterises the lives of celebrity families.
In addition to these personal insights, Murray is also currently promoting his role as executive producer of Tubi’s upcoming docuseries, “Just One Before I Die,” which is set to premiere on 21 October. The series explores the passionate and dedicated fanbase of the Buffalo Bills, known colloquially as “Bills Mafia,” and it’s a topic close to Murray’s heart.
Contrary to what one might expect from a title like “Just One Before I Die,” Murray assures fans that it is not meant to convey doom and gloom. “It’s a common phrase we’ve been using in Buffalo for years. Just one championship before we die. If anything, it’s light,” he explained. The actor believes the atmosphere in Buffalo would be unparalleled if the team were to win the coveted Lombardi Trophy. “When that happens, there’s going to be no better place in the world than in that city,” he stated passionately.
As the current NFL season progresses, the Buffalo Bills stand with an impressive record of 5-1. Murray expressed his optimism for the team, gleefully anticipating what winning would mean for the fans and the community. His enthusiasm and support for Allen and Steinfeld echo a larger affection for the Bills and their dedicated followers.
Murray’s reflections underscore the interconnectedness of sports, friendship, and the joys of family life. With the arrival of Harper, not only is a new chapter beginning for Allen and Steinfeld, but also for their friends, like Murray, who are eager to share in the experiences of parenting and celebrate the successes of their favourite football team together.
