Chantel Everett, known for her appearances on “90 Day Fiancé,” tied the knot with musician Ashley Bowen on October 17, at an enchanting wedding ceremony held at Fountainview Mansion in Auburn, Alabama. The couple celebrated their union with approximately 60 cherished guests, creating an intimate atmosphere suffused with love and joy.

Describing their wedding as “classic, elegant, and romantic,” Everett explained to PEOPLE the profound significance of openly celebrating their love as two women. “Our wedding is a celebration, but our marriage is the everyday commitment to growing together, creating a home, and being each other’s family,” she remarked, highlighting the importance of their relationship.
The couple meticulously curated their wedding day to reflect their shared style and personalities, opting for a sophisticated pastel colour scheme featuring white, ivory, muted green, and light blue. These hues beautifully intertwined with delicate florals, lush greenery, and soft candlelight, resulting in a visual harmony that complemented their vision of “timeless luxury and a touch of fairy-tale charm.”
Everett went on to explain the significance of personalising their wedding. “We wanted the entire day to feel personal and true to us. We’re a nontraditional couple who loves timeless romance,” she stated. Part of their commitment to authenticity included recognising the absence of loved ones who had passed, with an empty chair symbolising their memory during the ceremony.
The couple chose to exchange handwritten vows privately, allowing them to concentrate solely on each other and the weight of their commitment. “Getting married means choosing each other wholeheartedly and building a life where we both feel loved, safe, and supported,” Everett shared. This moment reflected their intention to create a nurturing and secure environment in their marriage.
During the outdoor ceremony, guests witnessed the couple walk down a grassy aisle adorned with white rose petals. Bowen donned a striking, bejeweled white suit paired with sparkling sneakers, while Everett selected a custom-designed gown by TTON Couture, which she described as representing the joy and love she felt with Bowen. “I wanted to feel beautiful and confident, but also completely myself,” she explained of her choice.
The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Rickisa Owens of Suite Love Chapel, who is particularly known for her understanding and celebration of queer love stories. “Having someone from our community guide us through such a meaningful moment made it feel even more personal,” stated Everett, expressing gratitude for Owens’ role in their ceremony.
Celebrations continued after the ceremony with JAMMIN’ DJs ensuring the dance floor was lively. The couple shared their first dance to “She’s My Handsome” by the lesbian band 76th Street, whose music resonated with their journey together. Including songs that reflect their experiences proved important to both Everett and Bowen.
The wedding feast was catered by Fischer Family Farmstead, with a menu that combined elegance with Southern comfort. Guests indulged in a delectable selection, including grilled citrus herb chicken, pan-seared fish, and a beef tenderloin carving station. A fittingly festive dessert spread featured a tiered wedding cake with a rainbow centre, alongside cookies and other sweet treats.
Looking to the future, Everett reflected, “Our next chapter is about enjoying life as a married couple and giving ourselves room to dream together.” Their wedding marks not just the union of two lives but the beginning of new adventures filled with love, support, and mutual growth.
Following their wedding, the couple enjoyed an extravagant first night as newlyweds at The St. Regis Atlanta before embarking on a surprise honeymoon trip to the Le Blanc Spa Resort in Cancun, Mexico, arranged by Bowen.
