Aldi has announced an enticing offer for Thanksgiving this year, providing a complete meal package that serves 10 people for under £39. The budget supermarket chain aims to make the holiday more accessible by keeping individual meal costs below £4. This initiative was unveiled on 14 October and is part of Aldi’s effort to simplify shopping during the festive period.

The comprehensive meal bundle features a 16-pound turkey alongside a variety of traditional sides, including stuffing, sweet potatoes, peas, carrots, cranberries, and dinner rolls. In addition to these, it includes the necessary ingredients for a pumpkin pie, such as pie crusts, pie mix, heavy whipping cream, and whole milk. This allows families to enjoy a classic Thanksgiving feast without overspending.

Aldi has made the meal accessible both in stores and online. Customers can either purchase the entire package or individual components starting from 14 October until 25 November. Those opting for the complete meal can benefit from a convenient one-click option for pickup or delivery through Aldi’s website.
The meal deal is structured to highlight affordability, with a spokesperson for the company explaining, “Our goal is to make Thanksgiving shopping simple, affordable, and delicious, so families can spend less time chasing deals and more time enjoying the holiday with loved ones.” This sentiment aligns with Aldi’s ethos of providing value for money, especially during a season often associated with overspending.
To determine the pricing of its meal bundle, Aldi drew on data from the American Farm Bureau Federation’s (AFBF) Thanksgiving cost survey. The company utilised this information to identify core items typically found in Thanksgiving feasts, enabling customers to compare Aldi’s prices with those at other retailers. Over the past five years, Aldi shoppers have benefitted from an average saving of 26% on their Thanksgiving meals compared to the national average, as reported by the AFBF.
Last year’s AFBF survey indicated that Thanksgiving dinners averaged less in cost, at about £55.18. This year, Aldi’s offering arrives in the wake of the supermarket’s announcement that it is reducing prices on nearly one-third of its products. Among the reductions are Honeycrisp apples, now priced at £1.99 per pound—35% lower than the average price recorded in 2025—as well as Kirkwood chicken breast family packs, also at £1.99 per pound, marking the lowest price since 2022.
This strategic price reduction reflects Aldi’s ongoing commitment to providing affordable options for families, especially those that might feel the pinch during the festive season. With these latest discounts extending until at least 3 November, the supermarket estimates that customers could save a combined total of £86 million.
By promoting a full Thanksgiving meal under £39, Aldi is positioning itself as a go-to solution for families seeking to celebrate without the stress of expensive grocery bills. As the holiday approaches, it remains to be seen how shoppers will respond to these offers, yet the supermarket’s focus on value and accessibility appears to align well with the current economic climate.
The combination of a larger seasonal meal deal alongside price cuts on everyday items places Aldi in a strong position within the competitive supermarket landscape. As families prepare for Thanksgiving, the opportunity to gather around a delicious and affordable meal may allow them to focus on what truly matters: spending quality time together during the holiday.
