**Florida Woman Arrested for Allegedly Engaging in Sexual Activity with Family Dog**

A Florida woman, Malia Elizabeth Nummerdor, aged 38, has been arrested on serious charges of sexual activity involving animals following an alarming discovery made by her estranged husband. According to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, Erik Nummerdor reported finding footage on home surveillance systems that allegedly showed his wife inappropriately interacting with their family dog, Ranger.
The investigation commenced on September 11 after Erik Nummerdor took to social media to allege that Malia had engaged in sexual conduct with their dog. In his posts, he claimed to have both video and photographic evidence detailing the disturbing incidents. The sheriff’s office confirmed that they reviewed Erik’s allegations and decided to look into the matter further, considering the seriousness of his claims.
When approached by authorities on September 14, Erik explained that he had installed two surveillance cameras in their home, including one specifically in the bedroom to monitor suspicious activity regarding a missing coin collection. The camera, as he described, had a noticeable blinking light, signalling its operation, and recorded continuously, automatically overwriting older footage.
Upon reviewing the surveillance recordings, Erik discovered a video that purportedly showed Malia engaging in sexual acts with their dog. The affidavit reveals that Erik provided law enforcement with screenshots from the footage, adding to the seriousness of his claims. The detective involved described seeing an adult female, identified as Malia, seen in a compromising position with the dog.
Following the review of the footage, Erik voluntarily permitted the sheriff’s office to access a laptop containing the surveillance files. However, when questioned about the video, Malia denied any inappropriate conduct, claiming the images were misrepresentative and did not depict a dog at all. Yet, she acknowledged being the individual recorded in the footage.
Authorities detained Malia for questioning on September 15, where they noted that she appeared to be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. During the interrogation, she confirmed her identity in the recording and acknowledged that the dog belonged to her. Nonetheless, Malia insisted that no sexual interaction occurred and expressed that she was unaware of the cameras being operational in their home, suggesting her estranged husband had ulterior motives for recording her.
Throughout the investigation, Malia alleged that Erik had previously threatened her regarding the video footage and claimed that the recordings were fabricated or taken without her consent. Attempts to contact Erik for further statements went unanswered.
As a result of these allegations, Malia was charged with sexual activity involving animals, classified as a second-degree felony under Florida state law. She is currently held at the Charlotte County Jail, facing a bond set at $35,000.
Sheriff Bill Prummell condemned the alleged actions, stating that no animal should ever be subjected to such treatment. In a statement, he expressed his disbelief and dismay over the situation, indicating this case left him “at a loss for words”. He further questioned the appropriateness of Malia’s demeanour during her mugshot, expressing his outrage at the nature of the allegations.
The case has garnered a considerable amount of attention and raises significant concerns regarding animal welfare and the protection of pets in domestic settings. Authorities continue to investigate the claims, and the legal proceedings will determine Malia Nummerdor’s fate as she faces serious charges concerning her conduct with the family pet.
