Kelly Osbourne has shared poignant details regarding one of her last conversations with her father, iconic rock star Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away in July 2025. The emotional exchange took place just days before his death at the age of 76, and it has left a significant mark on Kelly, who is still grappling with the void left by her father’s passing.

In a recent appearance on the “We Need to Talk” podcast hosted by Paul C. Brunson, Kelly reflected on the heartfelt moment they shared shortly before Ozzy’s death. “He sat me down and said, ‘Tots, I need you to know something… No matter what happens in this life, you can live the rest of your life knowing that there was one man on this planet that truly loved you, that truly loved you for every single thing you are. And that man is me,’” she recounted, stating that the conversation reduced her to tears.

Despite the emotional weight of this moment, Ozzy attempted to comfort her, acknowledging their bond and her struggles with feeling loved. “I started to cry, saying, ‘Please don’t talk like this,’ because he said, ‘You know, I’m not going to be here forever, and I know you struggle with people and believing you are loved. But I love you more than anyone,’” Kelly remembered. Just three days later, she would suffer the profound loss of her father.
At the time of his death, Kelly was engaged to Sid Wilson, a member of the band Slipknot, and they share a son named Sidney, who is now three-and-a-half years old. However, the couple has since ended their engagement, adding to the changes Kelly has faced in her personal life amidst her grief.
During her podcast interview, Kelly expressed deep gratitude towards her mother, Sharon Osbourne, for facilitating Ozzy’s last wish. He longed to perform one final concert, and Sharon worked tirelessly to make this happen. This farewell performance took place on July 5, 2025, during the “Back to the Beginning” show. “All he wanted before leaving this planet was one last show, one more time,” Kelly said. “It was one of the most incredible moments in music history… He got to say goodbye, and he got to say thank you. That’s all he wanted to do. And then he let go.”
Sharon has also recounted her own emotional memories of Ozzy’s final moments. Speaking on Piers Morgan Uncensored, she revealed how he had woken her in the night, requesting a kiss and a tight hug. Later that morning, Ozzy went downstairs to exercise, where he experienced a medical event that ultimately left him unable to speak again. Sharon reflected on those moments with regret, expressing a desire to have shown more affection in their final moments together. “If only I’d have told him I loved him more. If only I’d have held him tighter,” she lamented, while also noting that he was at peace and ready to depart.
Kelly has candidly discussed the profound impact her father’s death has had on her life. In an interview with HELLO! Magazine, she expressed that she feels irrevocably changed. “I’ll never be the person I was before my father died… a part of me died, too,” she stated. Realising the extent of her grief, she admitted, “I’m different. Everything has changed, but it’s just taking it one day at a time and putting the pieces back together in a way that you think will work.”
These reflections reveal the deep bond between Kelly and her father, as well as the struggles of navigating life after such a significant loss. As she seeks to mend her heart and honour her father’s legacy, Kelly remains focused on cherishing the moments they shared and the love they had for one another.
