In a recent appearance on the Tom & Mickey podcast, Lee, who is now 84 years old, shared her experience at the private party. She revealed that only a select few were invited, which contributed to the intimate atmosphere of the celebration.

Lee and Van Dyke have shared a long-standing friendship that dates back several decades. Their bond began while filming the 1969 comedy *The Comic*, where Van Dyke played a silent film star and Lee portrayed his wife. Lee recounted, “A very close friend of his was a close friend of mine. And I ended up doing a movie called *The Comic*.” This connection laid the foundation for their enduring friendship, which has weathered the test of time.

Describing the gathering, Lee noted that the guest list consisted mainly of Van Dyke’s family, grandchildren, and his barbershop singing group, known as Dick Van Dyke and the Vantastix.
