The 76-year-old victim was operating the bulldozer when his seat broke from its mount as he drove up an embankment. He described how the bulldozer’s seat had become detached, sliding out and landing perfectly behind one of the tracks, which ultimately halted the dozer’s backwards roll. He expressed gratitude that the circumstances of the accident did not lead to more severe injuries or potentially fatal consequences.
