Howard Rubin, a technology consultant and professor emeritus of computer science at Hunter College, shared how the property has been tailored to suit Buster’s needs. “It is like a party all day for him,” he remarked, illustrating the heightened joy Buster has experienced since the move.

Among the modifications, they added two sun shelves to the swimming pool, allowing Buster to lounge by the water without the necessity of swimming. Howard, who admitted that he has yet to take a dip himself, commented, “We never use it. It’s his.”

The property boasts other dog-centric features, including artificial turf and a fenced-off area dubbed Buster’s “playground.” Howard explained that thoughtful elements, such as the strategic placement of umbrellas and Japanese maples throughout the garden, provide ample shade and protection for Buster from the sun. Inside the residence, Buster has his own space to relax, with guest rooms also serving as extra rooms for him. Additionally, Howard revealed that Buster enjoys watching a popular children’s television show, “Paw Patrol,” when he is not outdoors or exploring his luxurious home. “He loves to watch a show called Paw Patrol,” Howard said, reflecting on Buster’s indoor activities.

Despite the focus on Buster, the Rubins have also adapted to their new lifestyle in New York. However, Suze, Howard’s wife and a retired veterinary technician and school psychologist, has expressed a growing fondness for their former home in Florida. This change of heart has led the family to list their multimillion-dollar residence for sale as they contemplate a return to the Sunshine State.

Listing agent Sally Slater from Douglas Elliman has indicated that the property is expected to attract significant interest. “People are willing to pay a premium for turnkey properties,” she noted, highlighting the appeal of the meticulously renovated home.
