Anna Cardwell, known from the reality television series “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” passed away in December 2023 after battling stage 4 adrenal carcinoma, a diagnosis she received in January of the same year. Cardwell, who was just 28 at the time of her death, leaves behind a profound impact on her family and friends, particularly her husband Eldridge Toney, who has now welcomed a new chapter in his life.

In a bittersweet turn of events, Toney and his fiancée Jessie English recently welcomed their first child together, a son named Walker Stone Toney. Walker made his debut on 28 August, arriving at 1:49 p.m., weighing 8 pounds and measuring 20.5 inches long. English took to Instagram to share the joyous news and included multiple photographs of their newborn. In her announcement, she conveyed her excitement and love for their son, referring to him as “his daddy’s twin.”
The couple had first revealed their expectation of a child back in January, sharing a post that featured a baby onesie, a positive pregnancy test, and an ultrasound image. Their announcement was met with enthusiasm, as they expressed their excitement for their growing family. At that time, Toney and English had recently become engaged in December 2022.

Following the tragic loss of Cardwell, Toney has maintained a strong bond with Cardwell’s two daughters, Kylee and Kaitlyn. In an exclusive discussion with a media outlet, Toney reflected on the importance of the girls in his life, stating that they have been his primary motivation since Cardwell’s passing. He noted, “The main thing that’s really kept me going is my relationship with my stepdaughters.” Toney is committed to being a positive presence in their lives, ensuring he continues to fulfil the role Cardwell would have wanted him to have.
Despite the challenges that loss brings, Toney expressed his dedication to nurturing the aspirations and well-being of the girls. “If I have any opportunity to kind of make their lives better, even if it’s just a little bit, I’m going to do my best to do that,” he shared. Toney added, “I want to be a part of their lives. I’m not going anywhere.”
In the wake of Cardwell’s death, her mother, Mama June Shannon, obtained custody of her granddaughter Kaitlyn in September 2024, while Kylee currently lives with her biological father, Michael Cardwell, in Alabama. Toney remains in contact with Mama June and has been welcomed into Kaitlyn’s life. He explained that there are no restrictions on visiting and that he is kept informed about Kaitlyn’s schoolwork and social activities.
Although Toney cannot visit Kylee as often due to geographical constraints, he emphasised that their communication remains open and steady. He shared that every interaction with the girls serves as a reminder of his late wife, leading him to believe Cardwell would be proud of their accomplishments and the progress they are making.
As Toney embarks on this new journey of fatherhood, the memory of Anna Cardwell continues to resonate through their family. In celebrating the arrival of Walker, Toney is reminded of his continued commitment to both his late wife’s children and the new life they have brought into the world together with Jessie English. As this family evolves, the legacy of Anna Cardwell remains an integral part of their lives, shaping the love and support they provide to each other.
