The victim, identified as Angelina Khalimendik from Hinsdale, entered the Des Plaines River on the evening of Sunday, August 16, around 7 p.m., in a desperate bid to assist her child, according to local authorities.

Reports indicate that Khalimendik had taken her children out for a fishing trip while her husband was away.
