Reports suggest that while first responders carried on with life-saving measures, her mother, Becky, was already performing CPR, alongside her 13-year-old brother, Liem, who exhibited remarkable composure by calling 911.

Following initial efforts by her family to revive her, Alayna was airlifted to a hospital in Indianapolis, where she was placed on a ventilator and is currently fighting for her life in the paediatric intensive care unit. Detective Randy M. Meek of the RCSD described the situation as a “tragic” but clarified that the incident had been deemed accidental following an investigation. The community has rallied around the family, as Bowling explained that every donation received would go directly to support Alayna and her loved ones during this incredibly trying period.
