The seven women – Olivia Daum, Sara Stoesz, Madison Rankin, Ella Wieringa, Braelynn Boer, Riley, and Addilyn Leakey – met while attending Dordt University in Iowa. Their friendship blossomed through sports, classes, and the everyday hustle and bustle of campus life, eventually leading them to share a cramped townhouse during their final years of study. Little could they have anticipated that this living arrangement would set the stage for monumental shifts in their lives shortly after graduation.
Reflecting on their college days, Ella Wieringa, now an account manager and videographer, expressed the charm of their experiences. “Honestly, I wouldn’t say we really thought about it one way or the other, and then suddenly it was a realisation of, ‘Wait…we’re literally all getting married,’” she shared with PEOPLE. For these young women, that cramped living space became not only their home but the foundation of a family-like bond that has persisted long after they tossed their graduation caps in the air.
The memory of their graduation day is etched in their minds. Sara Stoesz, now a photographer, recounted the poignant final moments they shared in their beloved townhouse, known affectionately as TH6. “We all got to say our goodbyes that morning in an empty TH6,” she reflected, highlighting the traditional sleepover they hosted the night before their big day. This ritual symbolised the end of an era but also marked the beginning of a new chapter for the friends.
Contrary to the typical trajectory of college friendships that often fade post-graduation, these seven women have maintained their close-knit connection. They have created a vibrant group chat that is a hub for sharing life updates, funny anecdotes, and ongoing plans for get-togethers. “Our group chat is always active,” noted Braelynn Boer, a second-year physical therapy student, “We’re usually already talking about the next trip before the current trip is even over.”

Ella remarked that each engagement felt like a “domino effect,” with every new proposal generating collective joy among the friends. The group chat became a treasure trove of proposal stories, allowing everyone to experience the joyous moments vividly.
