Palmby moved into her current East Harlem flat in May 2025, but it wasn’t long before she began receiving mail intended for the star of “Ted Lasso”. Initially, Palmby was sceptical. “I thought, ‘No way. There’s no way this is the same Jason Sudeikis,’” she recounted in a recent interview. A quick online search confirmed her suspicions, leading her to the realisation that she was indeed residing in the actor’s previous home. Over the course of a year, she collected around five deliveries, fostering a sense of responsibility for returning the mail to its rightful owner.

“With each delivery, I felt an increasing sense of purpose,” she explained. Palmby was inspired by another creator who had captured the attention of a celebrity by posting on social media, leading her to believe that a similar approach might work in her case. She took to her platforms, hoping to connect with Sudeikis and return the mail in person.

The response was overwhelming. Palmby received numerous messages from fans claiming various ties to the actor, ranging from casual acquaintances to distant relatives. “It was like six degrees of Kevin Bacon,” she noted, “but one degree of Jason Sudeikis.”

Eventually, her social media endeavours bore fruit when members of Sudeikis’ team at The Agency Group PR took notice of her plight. They invited Palmby to attend the premiere of “Ted Lasso” season four, along with the exclusive after-party on 4th August 2026. This invitation provided her with the perfect opportunity not just to deliver the letters but also to meet the actor himself.

Upon meeting, Sudeikis was warm and welcoming. “He was really sweet,” Palmby recalled. The actor recognised her from the viral video that circulated prior to the event, admitting, “I didn’t even recognise the apartment.” Her best friend, Olivia Saleh, who is also a devoted fan of the show, joined Palmby at the premier. Saleh was watching the latest season of “Ted Lasso” when she received Palmby’s call to be her plus-one.

Describing the experience, Palmby conveyed a sense of wonder. “It was truly magical to share this moment with my best friend,” she shared. Notably, Saleh, who uses the Instagram handle @livlasso, had even dressed up as Sudeikis’ character for Halloween the previous year, showcasing her deep appreciation for the show.
