Marvel and Hasbro are excited to announce the launch of a new collection of action figures inspired by the upcoming film, Avengers: Doomsday, which is set for release in December. This highly-anticipated project has fans eagerly awaiting a glimpse of their favourite characters in both cinematic and collectible form.

At this year’s San Diego Comic Con, the two giants unveiled an exclusive first look at the Marvel Legends Series, a range of collectible action figures that will bring to life beloved heroes, villains, and other iconic characters from the Marvel universe. Each figure in the series measures six inches and boasts a premium design, featuring poseable limbs and heads. Not only do these collectibles celebrate the characters, but they also offer a sneak peek at the costumes that will feature in Avengers: Doomsday.
The collection includes a stellar line-up that features fan-favourites such as Captain America, Thor, Shang-Chi, and the Fantastic Four. The reimagined Captain America, played by Anthony Mackie, makes his return following the events of Captain America: Brave New World. This new figure comes with Captain America’s signature shield and a backpack, capturing the essence of the character as he prepares for a new cinematic adventure.
Thor, the Asgardian warrior, is another standout figure from the series. Accompanying Thor’s figure are his famed weapons: the magical hammer Mjolnir and the enchanted axe, Stormbreaker. In addition, Shang-Chi is represented with an array of accessories that includes four interchangeable hands and two Ten Rings power effects, suggesting that he may play a crucial role in combating the threats that will arise in the film.
The Fantastic Four, another integral part of the Marvel universe, will also be featured in this collection. The Invisible Woman and the Human Torch are sold together as a set, replete with nine accessories that enhance their collectible potential. This includes two alternative hands for each character, a protective force shield for the Invisible Woman, and four flame effects for the Human Torch, embodying their powers effectively.
Mr Fantastic and his trusty assistant H.E.R.B.I.E. are included in another set. Although H.E.R.B.I.E. is not technically part of the superhero ensemble, he has earned a beloved status among fans for his unwavering support. This figure of Mr Fantastic features two alternative hands and an alternate head to showcase his unique abilities. Separately, The Thing is also available, complete with two interchangeable hands and an extra bearded head for those who prefer a different look.
In an exciting twist for X-Men fans, the set includes figures of Gambit, Cyclops, Doctor Doom, and Magneto, rounding out the Marvel Legends Series. Each character is cleverly crafted, with Cyclops featuring an alternate visor that connects to his Optic Blast effect accessory. Gambit, who is presented with three alternate hands, a bo staff, and two kinetically charged playing card effects, is sure to appeal to collectors keen on their dynamic representation in the upcoming film.
The Marvel Legends Series will be available exclusively at Walmart and many figures can be pre-ordered starting from July 27.
