A poignant love story unfolded recently as Karen and Stephen Glossop, a couple who have been together for over three decades, tied the knot from the comfort of a hospice bed. Karen, 58, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, exchanged vows with her partner Stephen, 67, at Ashgate Hospice in Chesterfield, England, on July 2.

With only a matter of time to prepare, the couple was determined to fulfil a long-held desire to marry. Stephen expressed that although marriage had always been part of their plan, life’s demands and the arrival of children delayed their union. “We always intended to get married, but the kids came along and then life took over,” he explained.
